Sooky - Dog - Whippet - Female - Surrey - Great Britain</title>
<link>http://www.petsr.org/animal?animal=1352</link>
<description>Sooky, Whippet X Jack Russell Terrier, DOB 10.08 - Ewell, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Sooky has impaired hearing and so she can present as a timid and scared little dog and display her sense of vulnerability. She needs a family who can relax her and forgive a few mistakes if she gets startled or spooked. Respectful considerate older children who are conscious of her needs. Sooky could live with another dog given time to build trust, which would help her gain a sense of the world where she can feel isolation.

Her Story: Sooky grew up with 3 young children and a terrier with the family unaware of the actual nature of her hearing loss though they suspected something was awry. She bit her owner whilst travelling as she put her arm behind to the back seat to calm the children. 11 months later the other Jack Russell went for Sooky and the mother gave her to the vets as the owner couldn't cope with 2 dogs any longer. The vets spayed her for us. Sooky was fostered and then went into a quiet home with no other dogs but visiting toddler grandchild and gran dog. She has since been separated from children and dogs.

Advert: Sooky is a sensitive, often frightened little love. Sooky needs nurturing to expand her social scope as she can retract and can seem fearful of the world. Her hearing difficulties feature greatly in her timidity: She is startled by loud vibrations e.g. motorbikes which she has no sense of direction with. She currently lives off an A road with thundering vehicles and a more rural setting would support her needs.

Sooky is a small white Whippet x Patterdale possibly Jack Russell. She is pure white with pale blue eyes. Yes she is unusual and yes she has special needs. Sooky has a hearing impairment being dulled to most normal noises but bewildered by 'heavy' noises. She has special needs and can misinterpret sudden moves, can snap, has bitten if she gets disturbed without willing engagement. She has rarely bitten but needs a sensitive family where they are aware and supportive of her needs around her 'silent yet dramatic noise world'. She has an inability to understand and direct her attention to the source of loud noises or vibrations. She is very loving and seeks reassurance through her humans.

Please visit Sookys thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra33924.php#33924 to find out if she is still available and for fuller details.

Advert: Tina is the sugar plum fairy. You have to take a second look at those ears as they are still deciding which way they lie. Those clumsy paws, soft, soft fur and agile tail; alert and aware. Tina seems very innocent and novice. So sad to witness her in rescue when she needs her family around her with great walks; recall training and introduction to life.

Video: Pal meets Buzz (we are talking about Buzz! - http://www.flickr.com/photos/49025403@N04/6956925730/in/photostream

Advert: Pal is what we call a 'Rescuer's dog', a dog who the rescuers rave about in terms of vibe, temperament and demeanour. Pal really is a pal to everyone he meets. He can get excited but easily calms. Greets other dogs, wagging his tail, he is really playful too and you know he just wants to be off the lead, running around. Told off by another dog Pal shrinks back to say &acirc;Sorry! Won't happen again&acirc;! Meets horses, sheep and goats well too. He is a quick learner and knows sit and paw. He is also very gentle with taking treats. He could be a great agility dog, as he loves to run and would be at his best in a home which challenged him mentally too.

Pal is the modern day 'Mongrel' a blend of all the best! He is a medium sized dog with fawn and gold brindle coat which is like cotton velvet to touch. Pal could live with another dog if the fit was right, but equally he would love to have all the attention to himself as an only dog and have visiting dogs. He seeks assurance and approval from his handlers which is so endearing.

Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found.

<description>Angie, Crossbreed, DOB 10.11 - Gatwick, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Angie needs stability, companionship and formal training. Her family may have another dog or be looking for a single dog. She has not been cat tested.

Her Story: Angie was found stray and unclaimed. She came into our rescue and was immediately spayed, 1st vax'd and chipped. She is a fluent young crossbreed that will become the dog of your dreams given the necessary input.

Advert: Angie is an Angel. She has that bluish look in her eyes still, which cries out 'puppy'. She obviously is one of those 'too many puppies' casualty, in need of a stable family and responsible ownership. Angie is just so young and beautiful. Ideal for a family who want to help a dog in need and can offer her the joys of living as she comes into adulthood.

Angie is a medium sized, slender in build puppy dog of about 7 months old, white with brindle patches. She may bulk out more in her second year but is currently like a Whippet Lurcher. <link>http://www.petsr.org/animal?animal=1347</link>
<description>Bella, Staffie, DOB 18/8/2007 &acirc; Guildford, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Bella needs a fun family to offer her an enriched life and have patience whilst she adjusts to a whole new life. She needs a secure garden and exit management. Not to be crated; she has the tee shirt on that one!

Her Story: Bella was owned by a young man from a puppy and he introduced Coco, a pup, to her in Dec 10 when she was 3 years old. They have had a good relationship together. They spent a lot of time crated and upon moving house they began to get out of a poorly fenced garden. The girlfriend, now pregnant, didn't want them back the second time the dog warden knocked on the door. The owner was heartbroken to see them go into rescue. We neutered them both and have since homed Coco. Bella is fostered in Guildford, Surrey.

Bella now needs a confident home to support her in life without Coco. Bella was always on extender leads outside and meets dogs well. Housetrained; could do with basic training. Her fosterers are delighting in her and enjoying her energy and affectionate nature. Travels well in the car especially if a front passenger!

Bella is a pied white Staffie with a truly devotional temperament, 4 years young. She is a good weight and the loving licky Staffie who will shine given a decent life with care, good food and a routine that meets her needs. She thrives on human companionship and had only 1 owner all her life before foster care; she is looking for her second chance!

Tia can be left but be prepared to see her delighted on return showering you with Staffie talk and dancing with affection. She adores people and would love a companion home. Kia - Dog - Staffordshire bull terrier - Female - Surrey - Great Britain</title>
<link>http://www.petsr.org/animal?animal=1343</link>
<description>Kia, Staffie, DOB 04.09 - Gatwick, Surrey

Homing Requirements: Kia needs a family who can delight in her gifts and enthusiasm, offering her further recall training and stability. Secure garden. OK with respectful children. Perfect first-time Staffie owner&acirc;s dog.

Her Story: Kia was found stray in August 2010 as a young bitch, chipped but unclaimed. She was homed to a man who wanted to breed from her but didn't. He returned her 10 months later as she was too interested in meeting people at the other side of the park than keeping close. Kia has been spayed and vax'd. She has been homed for 6 months but her family&acirc;s circumstances have changed and she is coming into kennels mid April and will be in the Gatwick area.

Advert: Kia needs a family who can offer her regular walks, friends, companionship, good quality food and who will stand by her. She so deserves all that and more. She is great with people, children and other dogs. She is a touch mouthy but no harm done and soon settles. She travels so well in the car, as is delighted if she can be secured as a front passenger. She is snuffly and curious. Her intelligence is on the go and she delights in discovery and challenge. Very food orientated so will be a dream to train.

Kia is just 3 years old and a proper Staffie; small chunky, jovial, social and extremely loving. Kia means Hill...yes she has had a hill to climb but let&acirc;s hope finding her home will mean she comes down into her hamlet, to be with her loved ones and she will gladly give her whole heart to those special people.
